Eugene Field Elementary School is a student-centered partnership of staff, family, students, and community dedicated to a vision of becoming an environment....

  • That teaches and practices appropriate social and behavioral skills
  • That ensures academic and personal success for all
  • that develops self-motivated, lifelong learners

The faculty and staff at Eugene Field are committed to this vision.

In order to ensure that ALL Eugene Field students are successful learners, teachers will provide effective instruction aligned with district curriculum.  Reading Workshop and Writing Workshop will be the tools used to teach communication arts, and Everyday Math will be used to teach mathematics.  in third through fifth grade, we are going to implement Project Lead the Way (PLTW), giving these students early experiences in the world of science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM).

At Eugene Field, we use Positive Behavior Intervention and Supports (PBIS) as a process for creating a safer and more effective school.  Students are expected to live the "Bulldog Way"; Be Respectful, Be Responsible, Be Safe, and Be A Learner. Click here for more information.

It is the commitment of the Eugene Field faculty to "Teach Like a PIRATE."  We are committed to:

  • P - Passion; for our students and our profession
  • I - Immersion; be truly present for our students
  • R - Rapport; build positive relationships with students
  • A - Ask and Analyze; ask the right questions and seek the right answers to create engaging lessons
  • T - Transformation; transforming classrooms into powerful, must-be places
  • E - Enthusiasm; we are excited to be here and achieve great things with the students and families at Eugene Field!
